1st Quarter
Liam dominated in the centre where most of the play was for the first 5 – 6 minutes. Our first score was appointed to Brayden. There was a lot of strong tackling by both sides with the first goal being kicked by Centals through accurate kicking in the right forward pocket.
2nd Quarter
Riley kicks our first goal after the ball spent much of the quarter across the half back lines of both sides. Then a long goal was kicked by the opposition which was an excellent straight kick. The rest of the second quarter remained a tight tussle with play remaining around the centre of the ground.
3rd Quarter
Trent kicked a point, again after some tough work in the centre by both teams. Roleystone kept the ball in our attacking half and we were able to score again – another point. James then took an excellent mark and kicked straight for another goal for the Tigers. This was a great effort and contributed to Roleystone taking control of the latter stages of the quarter.
4th Quarter
We continued the domination from the end of the third quarter with Trent kicking a goal and a point. The next two scores resulted in points to the Centrals. Centrals continued to fight back and Roleystone was not able to repel the next attack which resulted in a goal.
The siren sounded – which ended a terrific season…….
“A fantastic game of footy” were the first comments heard from the Coach
