‘It’s a big ground got to run,’ shouts the coach in the pre match amble.

The siren sounds and within seconds Laurie has the ball and is lining up for goal, he drills it.

2 minutes later thanks to Ben C and Jake, Laurie has two.

Just as soon Laurie has three and Chima once again is in sparkling form.

Roleystone U12's vs South Coogee Red

Congratulations to Aaron, who plays his 50th. It was also the first foray into youth rules. It was a scrappy opening as the ball was mulled up and down the ground. The first goal was scored by South Coogee Red, immediately answered through great work from Ryan, Nick Z, a flashy hard pass from Jake to Ben C who scored a 40m goal. Good work from Tom D, spoiling, tackling hard and kicking to position.

12's Rnd 10 28/7/2007 Roleystone vs Centrals @ Springdale Park PDF Print E-mail

A very wet oval for round 10 which means footbal won't be pretty and a hard game with lots of stoppages in the first quarter. Both Centrals and Roleystone came hard at the ball with Ben C getting the first free kick. The backline comprising of Ben H, Nick Z and Callum all played well with a free kick to Dean with the ball getting into the hands of Curtis who finds Sam who snaps for goal but is unlucky as the ball hits the post. The forward line of Tom D, Dean, Curtis and Sam try hard but no goals scored for neither team.

Congratulations to Callum Scott who reached his "50" game milestone. May you play many more games for the Tigers! Lots of other milestones today - our first game at Cross Park and also on a full field.

The Tigers started a little slow but picked up the momentum 10 minutes into the quarter with a goal to Curtis, our man in the forward line. Another major score from Ben C. The Hawks were playing good footy, but the tigers dug deep. A solid defence line from Nick Z and Dean was inspirational as was Laurence and Josh in the centre. Tom D scoring another goal then promptly flattened by his burly opponent!

ROLEYSTONE U12's vs. KWINANA U12's

The first half was dominated by Kwinana. The ball was continually thrust into the forward line creating a lot of pressure.  Ryan worked hard and was solid on the last line of defence at full back. Kwinana’s team game and lots of running continually exposed our players. Kwinana through their willingness to kick long and direct was rewarded.
