Roley Tigers were blessed with beautiful fine weather for the Round 12 match, a far cry from the atrocious winter stormy conditions of the few days before. The only sour note was Cody out injured and the ground was a bit chopped up thanks to vandals.
It was Roleystone who got the first score, Josh B soccering it through. Jandakot were tough in the tackles but the Tigers popped 2 more goals through before the Jets got it into their forward line. Ruckman Brandon worked hard, following the ball forward and kicking a lovely goal. Tigers got 3 more, the Jets scoreless that quarter.
Roleystone burst from the middle, Brandon getting some great clearances, Tony having a purple patch in front of goals. Jandakot tried hard and got a couple of goals but the Tigers were in command at half time.
Liam was switched to full forward - a move that proved fruitful. Our back worked hard when the ball came their way, which wasnt often. The Tigers shared the ball around - a great second effort from Josh B scored a goal through Liam. Josh W worked hard on the wing, Monty ran hard at centre half forward, David got a great steal up forward and kicked a lovely goal.
The Tigers ran over the Jets in the last quarter, we shared the ball around and it was raining goals at Springdale - the Tigers kicking 22 for the game.
