It was an overcast and chilly day at Orelia with Kwinana hosting round 11. Kwinana were undermanned and we had to provide a player.
Kwinana were quick out of the blocks kicking 2 goals one of them courtesy of our loan player Brandon. Roleystone were a bit slow to find their rhythem but finally we pulled ahead and got in front of players. Luke pulled down a lovely hanger but just couldnt convert. Tigers needed to up the pressure and a great peice of work through the middle kept the ball going forward and a free kick advantage saw Roley score another major. At the first break Tigers were 10 points up. Roleystone needed to get running and tire the opposition out, they had no bench and we had spare men.
In the second it was only fitting that Brandon kicked the 1st goal this time for the Tigers. Alex lifted his work rate and his great play and vision brought up another goal, kicked beautifully by Jake F. Jarrod was playing a great game on the wind, Jake B scored a good major, Laurie also kicked a good goal - again for the opposition, this match reporter says giving players to the other team at this age group is wrond and SFDDC should relook this rule. Luckily we have a talented bunch and Jack snuck a fantastic goal through on an acute angle from the left pocket. Michael was on song working hard to get the ball and keeping his temper in check. Roley 29 points up at half time.
Kwinana were to quick in the 3rd - we look sluggish, this had 2 goals in the first 5 mins. We lifted and got the goals back but end of the quarter was marred by an injury to Ryan - a bad bump after he kicked the ball ended in a cracked collar bone.
In the last Cody went for a great run through the middle setting up a lovely goal by Jarrod. Birthday boy Doug scored another major, finishing his day with 2.
Tigers won by 52 points.
