"A warm sunny day in Roleystone proved to be excellent conditions for what was to be an exciting game of football"

It was a Kelmscott home game on Roleystone turf today in a match that is often known by the locals as the rivalry round of the season .That is exactly what the match became as in the first quarter Roleystone were hanging on to a three point lead as a much needed goal by Mitchell on the siren was enough to put Roleystone in front at the quarter time siren.

Kelmscott with their pace and determination at the ball were still in the game but this quarter the ball was mostly in Roleystone 's forward fifty with Calan instrumental in the centre with Jack, Jayden and Shane assisting a goal to JJ in the opening minutes of the quarter.  There was courageous play by JJ who was putting his body on the line,  with Liam and Tom putting it all in for the effort. The Roleystone team were displaying strong work ethic with team work that was rewarded with Liam instrumental in another goal to Mitchell,  who was impressive in the forward line with his strong marking and kicking ability.

It was the next half ot the game that really put Roleystone's defense under attack as Kelmscott really pulled together to get a goal on the board in a close match.  Excellent team work by Calan to Mason was a goal to Roleystone that kept them in touch at the third time break. It was the final quarter that was on the edge of your seat stuff,  as both teams battled it out with a lot of even play down the ground and good pressure applied by both teams.  Another goal to Mason sealed the deal for Roleystone coming in as clear winners today.

The final score was  Roleystone 7 goals 10 points defeating Kelmscott 5 goals 2 points

Well done to the Roleystone 13s team on a well deserved victory

Go the Mighty Tigers!!!
