Attention Parents - your child needs you!

Roster Guide for Auskick to 12s

A VERY important part of your child's football team is parent participation.  Without parent help filling rostered roles, your child team will suffer.

All parents are requested to help out during the year with the amount of time required to help kept to a minimum with a fair share of rostered roles between all parents.  Most parents will only be required to do ONE rostered role ONCE per season if all parents participate.

It is not much to ask for parents to participate and help the club out to ensure your child has a great and positive season.

So grab your child's coach or team manager, get your name on the roster early and help your child's team out and pick the roles you feel are better suited to you - but remember we need all roles filled each week (depending on if we are a home or away game).

Roster Jobs for Auskick to 12's

Goal Umpiring: One of the easiest jobs on the roster. Flags are provided and you get the best view of the game at the ground.  You must be prepared to watch the match and the ball very closely. Wave one flag for a point, both flags for a goal. Waterproof poncho/ raincoat provided.  Free warming coffee courtesy of the canteen at the end of a home game.

Timekeeping: Ever wanted to blow the siren and be in control of the game? Then if you can press a button and read, this rostered job is for you. The electronic timer is provided as well as the running time for each quarter and the all important button for the siren is located right outside the canteen. Good place to be on a cold and wet day.

Match Report: Great job and good fun writing a few things about your child's team football match. The good, the bad and the ugly kicks, marks, goals, smothers, chasers, runs down the wing, legal bumps, horrible rain or fantastic sunshine. Let the clich's fill the page. A report file is provided, write as the match progresses and hand it in to your Team Manager at the end of the game.  For Match report examples check-out our website.

Canteen: One of the most important jobs on the roster and one of the most fun. Our canteen is an integral fundraiser for the club. The money it makes keeps other fundraising activities to a minimum.  Usually only one maybe two shifts throughout the fixtured year is all you need to do. Our Lovely Canteen Manager will be there to help, but usually our helpers serve or if they are really clever, sometimes cook.  On a cold, wet day it's the best place to be.  And for that parent's footy kid, there's a free bucket of chips at the end of a home game.

Jumper Washing: A very important job and dead easy, even the dads can do it. All you need is a Washing Machine and a dry place to hang the jumpers and the job is done. Folding is optional.  Just remember to bring them with you to the next game!

We look forward to seeing you....
